Mitgedacht.

Family on your mind. Deadlines on ours.

Family is wonderful.

And a surprising amount of admin

We know how much mental load family can be.

But hey: you’ve made it this far.

That’s a start.

We’ll think of the rest.

From pregnancy to nursery – including adoption and foster care.

Create my roadmap →
You’re here. On track.

Don’t worry.
This isn’t another checklist.

Maternity protection. Parental allowance. Child benefit. Health insurance. Parental leave. Birth certificates. Daycare.

The question isn’t everything parents will have to deal with at some point. It’s:

What applies to you?

What’s due now?

What can you already prepare?

And above all:

What can you simply forget for now

What you can do now.
And what not yet.

You tell us a little about your family. We sort it out. What applies to you goes into your roadmap. What doesn’t, doesn’t.

And you can get a lot done before it can actually be done.

Family doesn’t stick to a checklist either.

The baby comes early.

The birth certificate arrives.

Parental leave changes.

You move house.

Mitgedacht rethinks

What’s possible now appears.

What has to wait, waits.

What’s done stays done.

One thing happens. Suddenly three others can go ahead.

Not just paperwork

Getting readyMidwife, place of birth, paediatrician, hospital bag …
Check-upsChild check-ups (U-Untersuchungen), vaccinations, dentist …
Childcare & workDaycare or childminder, parental leave, going back to work …
Your own taskswith your own deadline – a fixed date or “3 weeks before the due date”

Every family is different.
So is your roadmap.

Pregnancy, adoption or foster child.

Employed or self-employed.

One parent or more.

First child or a sibling.

All parents have equal rights and see everything – however many of you there are. And anyone helping out – grandma, an uncle or your best friend – sees only their own tasks. More only if you share it.

We’ve read the small print

So you don’t have to.

Mitgedacht takes rules, requirements, deadlines and dependencies into account. For important information, you can see where it comes from and how up to date it is. Because when we say “you need to do this now”, you should be able to rely on it.

Deadlines aren’t small print. If you’re too late with parental allowance (Elterngeld) or child benefit (Kindergeld), you can lose money. That’s why we work out when you need to take care of what.

Federal. State. Town. Of course, German family bureaucracy would be too easy if the same rules applied everywhere. We keep track of the federal rules and those of your state. And we look closely at more and more cities. You’ve got other things to do right now.

For families living in Germany. Mitgedacht knows German law – from federal rules down to your town. If you live abroad or work across the border, we don’t fully cover your situation. And even within Germany, not every special case is included yet.

Your data belongs to you. We store your family details in the EU. Personal documents stay on your phone. You can also lock the app with Face ID, fingerprint or device passcode. And you decide who gets to see what.

312official sources – laws, ministries, authorities
0ads & trackers – not on this page either
0real names needed – you decide what to call yourselves
1place for copies of your documents – right on your phone

And when there’s nothing to do right now? We say so.

All done for now

No list of things that will matter at some point in the next two years.

No busywork. Just nothing.

Enjoy it. We’ll be in touch in good time.

How Mitgedacht came about.

In her work with children, young people and families – including in the public health service – Anne has seen again and again that paperwork is a real hurdle for many families.

The spark came from a friend. He had painstakingly pieced everything together and wished for one page with simply everything on it.

Anne thought: an overview alone isn’t enough. Working out what applies to your own family, what’s due now, what can wait and what you need to remember – that work remains. And mostly with one parent.

Why should all of that stay in parents’ heads?

Anne & Marius – the people behind Mitgedacht. Anne is a psychotherapist. She has worked in healthcare since 2013, dealing with very sensitive data every day. At Mitgedacht. she looks after the content and data protection. Marius is a computer scientist. He looks after the technology and the security of your data. And as parents of two children less than two years apart, they’ve made their way through the bureaucratic jungle twice – the second time before the first pile of paperwork was even filed.

Less on your mind.

Mitgedacht. isn’t here to help you keep track of everything even better. It’s here so you have less to keep track of.
